Already making friends up north, Dakota Fanning was spotted chumming it up with “New Moon” co-star Rachelle Lefevre in Vancouver, Canada on Friday (May 8).
The pair, who brought Rachelle’s little sis along for the outing, ended up arriving at Blue Water Cafe for a cast members party being thrown at the local eatery.

"The books are all from Bella's point of view," she told me. "So there are things in New Moon that get talked about and are referred to, but don't get described. Victoria spends all of New Moon trying to get to Bella. As a result, she fights werewolves and has encounters. They've basically tried to show more for the film. We want to keep the love triangle going, but we've kept more of the dark action, vampire-y stuff to keep those fans happy."
Lefevre added she'll be heading up to Vancouver in mid-April and is "stoked to work with [director] Chris [Weitz]. It's been different with him because he has tremendous respect for the fact that something has come before. He now has to pay heed to the books and what Catherine [Hardwicke] did so hard to cultivate. He's done an amazing job of incorporating ideas almost seamlessly into what is what the fans are expecting and love."
The Robert Pattinson adulators were out in full force Saturday for the highly anticipated midnight launch of the film's home video release, buying up more than 3 million copies of the special-edition double-disc on its first day alone.
In addition to silencing any Twilight-fatigued critics, the overwhelming sales haul helped the film enter the record books as one of the top five best first-day DVD releases in the past two years, joining the esteemed company of fellow blockbusters Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Transformers. Rachelle LeFevre, who said this was her first time in Utah, was overwhelmed by the show of fans and said she loved the Utah mountains and would be back to ski. The actress plays one of the villains in the movie which is the love story of a girl named Belle, who falls in love with Edward, who is a vampire. The movie has swept fans off their feet. The series of four books has also been hugely popular. WalMart store manager Scott Trudo said the DVD was expected to be the top seller for the store ever, surpassing the previous number one seller "The Passion of the Christ." The Riverton store alone pre-ordered five thousand copies of the movie. Trudo expected they would sell out.
LeFevre didn't arrive at the store until 10:30 p.m., but fans started lining up in the store at about 3:00 this afternoon. Danielle Peterson, who is in high school, said she's seen the movie 9 times. "I'm obsessed. Totally obsessed," she said. Her friend Tristin Ewing, who is 14, said "I've seen the move 3 times. I wish I'd seen it way more." Click here to read more.
